McNarry backs Farage on cash deal and back door entry for Turks into the EU
David McNarry MLA, UKIP Leader in Northern Ireland has backed UKIP Party Leader Nigel Farage’s comments on Turkey’s EU membership.
“If EU leaders agree to give Turkey €3 billion euro and visa free travel it will be an act of collective insanity pushing more people to oppose EU membership. Turkey is too big, too poor and too different from us culturally. It is a state with a terrible human rights record run by a dictatorial Islamist president. It is giving free run to ISIS fighters, weapons and oil. Free EU visa travel for 75 million Turkish citizens is another reason to vote to leave the EU and take back control of our borders.”
Mr McNarry says this really is a case of a Turkey voting for Christmas. Except its 75 million Turks who could be gobbling all the way into the EU and no doubt into our UK cities. The UK pay way over the odds for EU membership. Now it seems the Turks are being given loads of money as camp redcoats with free travel thrown in.
“I agree with Nigel Farage that this is another reason to leave the EU and protect our own borders. Remember Northern Ireland is the only part of the UK with a land border – it is porous, unprotected and is a free run to the ferries for onward journey to the mainland UK.”
