McNarry says well done to Northern Ireland man who fought English seat for UKIP

David McNarry MLA, UKIP’s leader in Northern Ireland, has extended UKIP Northern Ireland’s congratulations to local man Stephen Crosby who took 18.5% of the vote, increasing UKIPs percentage vote by nearly 15% in the Nottingham North constituency.

“While this has long been a safe Labour seat, Stephen did a first rate job, coming third, with less than a thousand votes between him and the second placed Tory candidate. It is a good thing that candidates from Northern Ireland should stand in English constituencies – or indeed constituencies in other parts of the UK – because it emphasises the truly national scale and scope of UKIP as a party. People here need to remember that because a vote for UKIP is a vote for a national and unionist party and helps reinforce Northern Ireland’s position as part of the UK. So it’s well done to Stephen in Nottingham North!”
