HIGGINSON: Wells, put a stop to hospital parking charges!

UKIP Candidate for West Belfast, Brian higginson has called on the Health minister Jim Wells to  put a stop immediately to car parking charges across hospitals in Northern Ireland.

He said:

“This is a stealth tax on the sick and vulnerable; those patients and visitors attending the hospitals either as outpatients or visiting family or friends who are ill in hospital. It is morally wrong to charge people who are sick and vulnerable and as it states in our manifesto; we as a party call for the charges to be stopped. Our manifesto States: If elected; UKIP will stop car parking charges on all NHS hospital and health centre sites across, Northern Ireland.

Mr Higginson added:

“As someone who suffers from illness myself and attends hospital in Belfast, it is an added financial burden on many. Specifically  for some who have to drive longer distances to attend a hospital appointment or visit someone.”
