David McNarry MLA, UKIP’s leader in Northern Ireland, has commented :

“I think UKIP are entitled to ask the media where is the furore over F.A. Chairman Greg Dyke’s remarks to limit the number of non-EU footballers playing in the English football clubs?

What is the difference in the F.A. Chairman Greg Dyke saying English places for English footballers to UKIP saying British jobs for British people?”

“Mr Dyke says, “If you apply the system we are introducing over the past 5 years, a third of non-EU overseas players wouldn’t get in.”
He goes on to say, “The English players’ numbers compared to the Germans, Spanish or Brazilians are pathetic.”
“The Football Association are in effect putting a cap on foreign workers, says McNarry, but not a word from the media, the Tories, Labour or the Lib Dems on this, when in fact Mr Dyke is adopting UKIP policies.”
