DAY: DUP are softening their attitude to the European Union

UKIP Mid Ulster PPC Alan Day has queried the DUP`s committment to EU withdrawal following an article by DUP Deputy Leader Nigel Dodds in The Guardian newspaper.

Mr Day said:

“Tragically over the past couple of years the DUP have softened their stance on the EU.  At one stage  out of fifteen MP`s signed up to `The Better Off Out Campaign`, eight were from the DUP.

“It now seems the DUP are tending towards the Tory policy of renegotiation – perhaps with an eye to a hung parliament and possible deals with the Tories or Labour.”

“Only UKIP want withdrawal from the EU to regain full sovereignty of the UK to facilitate global trade.

“Believe In Britian.  Vote UKIP”

END
