MCNARRY: No reason why the selected UKIP candidate should not be an agreed candidate

David McNarry MLA, UKIP leader in Northern Ireland, has said :

“UKIP have as much right as any other party to present a candidate to the electorate of South Belfast.

Unionists lost the seat and have been unable to return proper representation to the constituency,

I make this open and public call to the unionist party leaders to contact me within the next week agreeing to meet together to work out support for a single candidate. I see no objectionable reason why the single candidate cannot be from UKIP.

UKIP have selected a candidate who I believe would be acceptable to the pro-union electorate in South Belfast.”
