The health Minister said earlier today in the Assembly that “there will be no fresh admissions during an eight week consultation on Dalriada Hospital.”
David McNarry MLA, UKIP Leader in Northern Ireland has once again reaffirmed UKIP support for the Save Dalriada campaign.
Commenting, Mr McNarry said:
“All respite places across this country are now under serious threat. We need a better deal for our carers in this country.”
“Whilst I acknowledge the fact that this issue has now gone out to public consultation, I urge the Health Minister Mr Wells to allow patients to be admitted to this hospital once again.”
“If he does not, the accusation could be levelled at him that this excercise is merely window dressing whilst the gradual rundown of the hospital continues.”
