McNarry supports Schools Inspectors call for change in schools

David McNarry MLA, UKIP’s leader in Northern Ireland, says he supports Schools Inspectors findings on our schools.

“The Inspector’s findings bear out what UKIP is hearing in our local communities and I want to congratulate them on bringing these issues to the fore. UKIP fully supports the Inspectors’ call for action,” said Mr McNarry.

“We need to plot a new course of extensive action for pupils falling behind in their studies. Parents need to be involved and we need to look at children’s lifestyles and the potential for extra tuition. UKIP is keen to hear from teachers about these problems. We must draw on teacher’s expertise. We need to rebuild education from the early years up. We need to explore ideas on how better results can be achieved quickly,” said the MLA.
